The Last Time
Rolling Stones The Ravens 1985 Reunion: Bass Guitar: John Anthony Rythmn Guitar: Joe Gracia Lead Guitar: Rich O'Connor Drums: Jeff Annunziata Lead Vocal: John Anthony John: This was one of the first Rolling Stones I learned. I can still see the blue colored label of the London 45 record spinning around on my record player as I kept moving the needle arm back to listen to the chords or words I was trying to learn until I finally got them. The band first played this song in 1965 at the Danbury Elk's Hall which had a big boomy sound that fit this song very well. To this day I associate the big sound of this song with the Elk's Hall. The flip side or B side of this record was 'Play with Fire' which became part of our set list at some point. I sang lead on it and one day someone, Joe I believer it was, stealthfully stuck a match in the side of my boot and lit it as we played. The hot foot that followed gave a new amusing meaning to the song title!
